A compact Kit Carson design for rope and cord cutting
The CRKT M21-12SFG pairs a 3.11-inch 1.4116 steel blade with Veff Serrations and a G10 handle. Designed by Harold “Kit” Carson, this folding knife includes a liner lock with automated liner safety and a dual-hilt blade guard.
Keep it with your outdoor gear for appropriate cutting tasks, including rope and fibrous materials. Work in a clear cutting area, then close and store the knife securely.
Listed specifications
- Model: M21-12SFG.
- Designer: Harold “Kit” Carson.
- Blade length: 3.11 inches.
- Blade steel: 1.4116.
- Edge: Veff Serrations.
- Finish: Black corrosion-resistant coating.
- Blade thickness: Approximately 0.12 inch.
- Grind: Hollow.
- Closed length: 4.23 inches.
- Open length: 7.38 inches.
- Listed product weight: 3.7 ounces, excluding unverified packaging weight.
- Handle: G10.
- Lock: Liner lock with automated liner safety.
- Carry feature: Reversible pocket clip, as listed.
Lock operation and safe handling
The automated liner safety places a pin between the locking liner and frame as an additional safeguard. It does not eliminate the risk of accidental closure or injury. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for disengaging the safety and liner lock, keeping fingers clear of the blade path while closing.
Do not pry with the blade. Follow the manufacturer's care guidance, keep the knife clean and dry, and store securely away from children. Check local laws and age restrictions before purchasing or carrying.
